i thought i'd give a work update since i haven't posted in a very long time. so, a story from work. on friday i worked 10-6. not a big deal really, normal. well, a storm blows in around 1:30, right about the time i go on my lunch break. i have to clock out for my lunch so i've done that, and have gone over to pay for my lunch at the cafe. well, the power goes out and the registers of course go down. i can't buy my lunch. i'm very upset about this. so i'm standing in line, second from the front, and wait. the power comes back on five minutes later. we get the registers up, the lady in front of me pays for her coffee, i pay for my pretzel and make it half way across the store when the power goes out again.... and doesn't come back on. we end up having to kick everyone out of the store, close the store for about an hour and a half, and sit around in the cafe chatting away. i'm off the clock during this whole thing because i can't clock back in. when the power comes back on they tell me not to clock in and just let the managers deal with it.ok. i'm fine with that.
so, that's work. not many exciting things happening around here. temperatures are finally below 100 again.
oh, i forgot to include that my boss pried her way into my love life (or lack of one). that was an interesting conversation.
