I hate training. I'm stuck by myself in the cafe doing two people's job and then my job on top of it. Only a few more months. I better get a good pay raise at the end of all this. For the past two days the district manager has been at the store making sure everything we're doing is being done correctly. No imagination allowed. Since I was absent from the cafe for two weeks I wasn't there to... well, clean. I've spent most of this week cleaning and training. On the upside, my managers absolutely love me... they've also discovered that I can do more than one thing at once and get them both done.
I got to sit in on an interview yesterday. I thought that was interesting. The poor guy was probably terrified. Anyway, that's work stuff. I don't want to think about it.
I went home this past weekend for my birthday. Actually, I went home for my sister's bridal shower but it was still my birthday. I got to see my grandparents and my aunt. I haven't seen them in several years.
My sister's wedding's coming up. Just 3 and a half weeks away. It took two weeks to finally get my bride's maid dress. My poor sister was stressing out over it. First, it never arrived. Then UPS shipped it back to the sender. Then UPS "lost" it. Anyway, I finally tracked it down on Monday and brought it home. I've tried it on and surprisingly it fits pretty well. If all else failed and I didn't get to alter it, it'd still look good. I've gotta find something to hide my flab though. *pout*
Oh, I'm tired of the moving process. Too many stinkin' boxes. I have no idea where to put everything. I'm down to three boxes. The annoying thing is that two of them are junk boxes. You know the kind that are packed near the end and are just a whole conglomeration of who knows what?
