"If I had ever learnt...

I should have been a great proficient." --Pride and Prejudice, Chapter 31

There are some things in this life that I just lack the talent to accomplish. Singing is pretty high on the list. So is playing any kind of instrument. This is not to say that I've never tried. Despite those fanciful notions I had as a girl, I accept that I will never be a public speaker, a novelist, or anything in the musical profession. I accept that I'm math and science stupid, but that's okay. I can live with it.

Occasionally, I'll get these wild notions to attempt something new. This usually manifests itself in a new hobby. As a result, I have a smattering of, sometimes unusual, interests. These hobbies have varying levels of success.

Several months ago I got the brilliant idea that sculpting wasn't truly as difficult as it seemed. I will tell you this, it really is not easy. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. They lie.

Apparently, I was over-ambitious. After several failed attempts (and several hours wasted), I abandoned my original plan and set myself something simple. I thought, "Teapots. How difficult could that be?"l hours wasted), I abandoned my original plan and set myself something simple. I thought, "Teapots. How difficult could that be?"
I'll leave that up to you to decide how successful I was. I suppose they need some paint.  Flowers or some such. There's only one teacup. Yes, three teapots and one teacup. Actually, that skinny one might be a coffee carafe. I don't know. I wasn't following any particular teapot type.
