Yup, I survived! Despite hurricane Alex I spent the entire week on the beach. I watched the hurricane come in before I decided that I'd better get to higher ground and batten down the hatches. It was a disappointment actually. All it did was rain. There was no huge thunderstorms or dangerously high winds. I was back on the beach the next day by noon. I had a great week but after sleeping on an airmattress for 7 days you start yearning for your own bed and your own personal space. I didn't get sunburned. Yay! I was careful and put sunscreen on regularly.
