the semesterly complaint

books. i'm so tired of purchasing a 130 page book for $21.50. not only is the university sucking money out of me and my family every semester but the campus bookstore also must drain my pitiful bank account. i have 20 books this semester. 20! and it's not like i can decide not to buy a few because we'll never use them. no, i have to read them all. *pout*

in other news, the state of the union address was last night. once again i missed it. didn't really care to sit around and listen to it when i can get a summary the next morning and i was at step-sing practice last night so i missed it anyway. basically, americans are a bunch of oil-sucking fiends polluting the atmosphere and draining the planet of its natural resources. okay, so maybe that's not what pres. bush said exactly but it's close enough. *shrug* it's not like we'll actually do something about it.

okay, that's my pessimistic side coming out.

like i said, step-sing season has officially begun on campus. in between sleep and 3 to 4 hours of practice a day, i have class and homework. it's gonna be great this year! i'm so excited! i'll have to post pictures.
