praying

Before I get to the title of this post, I have to tell everyone something. I was rude on Saturday. Incredibly rude. I've never intentionally been so rude in my life. Even in my "rebellious" teen years. I gave clipped, one word answers, and I walked away in the middle of a conversation without excusing myself. I felt like a total bitch afterward. *guilt* But I think I made my point...

Anyway, Taylor was being her usual self on Saturday. Rambled about anything and everything. In the course of her ramblings she mentioned that someone came up to her and told her that they were praying for her. She turned around a moment later and said, "I bet you pray for me."

I didn't say anything. Something on my face must've given me away because she laughed and exclaimed, "You do pray for me! You pray that my little sinner self will find Jesus and all that."

I frowned immediately. "It's nothing like that."

"Really? What do you pray about?"

"I pray about many things."

"Give me an example."

"I don't know. It's like a conversation. I don't remember every conversation I have."

"But you pray for me?"

"Yes. I care. I pray for all of my coworkers."

"Aww! That's so sweet!"

On a side note, I have my first sunburn of the spring season. I went out to lunch with the singles today and of course we sat outside... and of course I was wearing a three-quarters sleeve sweater. My forearms are now a light pink with a very definite line. *sigh* I guess it'll fade away over the next few weeks since I doubt I'll be outside much.
