happy halloween

well, today is halloween. or, if you want a history lesson, the day martin luther nailed the 95 theses on the church door. sounds shocking, doesn't it? the idea that some monk has the gall to nail something to a church door. how dare he! it actually wasn't that big of a deal. after all, the church door was the bulletin board of the community.

anyway, this is a post about halloween, not the reformation. a day where kids (both young and pseudo-young) dress up and ring your doorbell only to yell "TRICK OR TREAT!" yet, if you play a trick on them they'll hate you. maybe martin luther started the whole knocking on the door thing, ya know. they never said if anyone opened the door and, if someone did, whether he yelled "HERITIC OR SAINT!" or not.

. . .

ok, i'll go now.
