i thought i could get away

i spent the last 2 weeks reading the biography of karl marx... it made me want to cry it was so bad. it should be called "the incredibly biased, not to mention boring, somewhat biographical book of karl marx (but really just a 300 page glorification of everything socialist/communist)." it was so bad that the only way i could think of to get through reading the last three chapters was to go jogging on the treadmill in the cage. i went three miles and only finished the first chapter. the only thing that encouraged me was that when i finished i would never have to look at marx again. *wild cheers*

apparently i was wrong. *pout* just as i was singing the joys of never having to look at marx or the communist manifesto ever again i was assigned to read books one and two of the hated doctrine itself. by the time i graduate in may, i will have read the communist manifesto about 4 times since i've been in college. come, sing a dirge with me.

speaking of singing. i had to sing internationale in class today. for those of you who don't know (and i'd imagine it'd be the majority of you), internationale could be considered the antheme of the communist state. yes, i, in my quaint, private, baptist university, stood and raised my right fist into the air while heartily singing internationale along with the rest of my comrades... or rather, whimpered the words with a half-hearted fist in the air just to please the prof.

if you wish to hear it, click here. if not, well... i don't blame you.

so concludes a monday in which i've only had 4 hours of sleep.

aw, but then your students will miss out on all the joys that is marxist! what happens when someone points at them and yells 'commi!"? the poor kid won't even know how to respond.
