i have five months

I'm working on a new crochet project. I believe I've mentioned it before... in the last post. I thought I'd post a picture of it since I don't seem to post too many pictures. I need to finish it by July because... well, that's when it's due.

It's a cable afghan and, as you can tell, I'm not very far on it. That's pretty much how much I've done after working for 2 days on it. That's not that bad really. I'd prefer if I had more time but I can't have everything in life. I only get to work on it when I've finished all my school work and I'm not exhausted. Most of what I've complete on it so far was done about a week and a half ago when I decided that I wanted to watch more of the John Adams HBO series. I only watched one episode so I only got about 3 rows done.

Here's a less artistic view of the afghan. You can see more of the pattern and how wide it is. It really doesn't look very big like this but then, afghans aren't supposed to be blankets. I do like the pattern even if it is a pain at times.

For some reason, the cat likes to keep me company as I work on my school work. I don't know why because after about 40 times of listening to the same dictation, I get rather tired of it myself and I'm sure she doesn't appreciate the random outburst of frustrated language. Every so often, she does something that's so endearingly cute that I must take a picture and, since I don't particularly like pictures of myself, I will spam my blog with pictures of the cat.

I believe it was pretty cold the day I took these pictures which is why she's hiding under the quilt.

This one was actually taken a day or so ago. Ashlynn gets angry when I don't open the blinds for her. She tends to ram her head against them until I finally pull them up. She then sits in the window and clicks at the birds for several minutes before she tires and takes a nap.

And that is all I'm posting of the cat for a long time. I never seem to have my camera when something more interesting occurs.

I was thinking. How strange is it that in 25 years I've never had a Valentine? Okay, so we'll go with 10 years since the first 15 don't really count. It's kind of depressing when it gets shoved in my face every year.
