happy easter!

Easter is tomorrow which means we have less than a month left in the house before the lease is up. Crazy how time flies. Lisa's bridal shower is today and I finally can post pictures of her gift. I'm so excited about it. It's grown on me over the months and now I'm quite attached. I wasn't sure what to think of it when I started it. I finished it in January some time and took this picture in February... near the start of the month. I'm so artistic.




Here's Ashlynn claiming what's hers.



The cat loves it and slept on it for most of the winter. She'd seek it out. I took it away from her last week to clean the cat hair out of it and she's been upset with me since. She sits at the foot of my bed, paws tucked under her, casting me this moody glare every so often. It's warming up outside but inside is still a touch cool. A few days ago, I was working on another afghan when I put it down for five minutes to find something to eat or drink. When I returned, Ashlynn had plopped herself down in the middle of it and was snoozing away.



And you can see by the state of the bed just how lazy I've been lately. That's embarrassing.

Spring! I'm still trying to figure out what kind of tree this is. I think it's a poplar of some kind. It's a tulip magnolia. It's right outside my window.



Oh look, she does do something besides sleep. She's clicking at the birds that twitter on the branches. Most vexing!
