hoarding

I've taken it into my head that I like old books. Like, really old books. The older the better. I believe it really started my fourth year at Samford. I had to write a thesis in order to graduate. I think it was just to torture their students one final time. To gain the sources I required, I had to purchase the literature. My school's library was seriously lacking in the turn of the 20th century literature dealing mainly with the gold rush. So, my first sojourn into antique books was purely scholarly. It certainly hasn't stayed that way. All that so say I'm really excited about getting my newest acquisition! I got an 1880s copy of Les Miserables in 5 volumes. Now I'm just waiting for my second purchase to get here and I'll be even more excited.

I'm sad I missed the copy of Cowper's poems at Reed's Books last year. I need a cheaper hobby.

edit 3/31: Yay! The Three Musketeers finally got here! Everyone can now celebrate accordingly.
